It's About Time I Did This...

Here's a taste of our October 13th wedding... (we've only been back a couple weeks, after our honeymoon/vacation, so I'm a little behind)

Thanks to everyone here who gave their opinons and suggestions to my questions over the last year! Enjoy!

The Ballroom setup for our ceremony

Looking down the aisle from the altar

The cover of our program... we did them like theatrical programs, complete with cast & crew lists and cast bios. We also made a crossword puzzle on the back so the guests had something to do while they were waiting!

Some decor in the buffet area...

Me and all my girls!

My bouquet

My Maid of Honor

Stacy, one of my good friends & our Officiant!

My folks walking me down the aisle

The Handfasting...

...and the Navajo Blanket Ceremony

Mr & Mrs Nova!

Table settings

Cake Topper...
...and desserts!

My dad & mother-in-law

My parents!

Tasting the cake

The Rings

And just some silly pictures...

I totally dig the swooning picture.

What's the Navaho Blanket Ceremony?

Traditionally the tribe worked together to weave a blanket for the intended couple to use during their marriage ceremony to symbolize their union, as well as the tribe's acceptance and support of the couple.
I asked a bunch of friends and family members to make quilt squares and sewed them into a blanket.

oh man, it looks like you guys had so much fun with your wedding. everything looks so festive and lovely!

and your dress, of course, is stunning.

and i seriously got a little teary-eyed over the quilt (especially when i went back and read your explanation of it a few comments up). it's so sweet that your friends and family would make something so meaningful and personal for you!

thanks so much for posting your pictures! i had such a blast looking at them, and i certainly hope you guys enjoyed the planning process and actual wedding as much as it looks like you did.

xo

It (and you) all looks fabulous and wonderfully fun, but I simply adore the ballroom...such great ambiance.

In all honesty, I never really thought of it as being a theater theme! We were going for a harvest/halloween theme... but we both work in entertainment, so that's all we really know. :)

That looks so fun! I love your dress & top hat, and the Jack Skellington garter is so cute! Did you make that or something? Love those stockings as well.

My mom made my garter (as well as all the masks) and the stockings are from sock-dreams.com
